Class Details

In this class students will be introduced to the tools used in woodworking.

They will learn to:

· Measure using a tri-square, a tape measure, and a caliper

· Mark a project using a tri square, saddle square, marking gauge and combination gauge

· Saw with a Japanese pull saw

· Chisel a mortise

· Use a drill

· Glue and clamp their project

· Sand and finish wood

Children 9 years of age and older can now learn the safe use of woodworking tools while creating age appropriate projects.

Sorry, this class won’t be offered again until we move into a larger space.

· Students will be given access to all tools needed for this course and all materials will be provided. 

· You will be required to bring a notebook, pen and pencil.

· Expect to get some sawdust on your clothing. Wear your “play clothes”.
